Prayer for accepting the Icon
Lord I surrender myself to you through my meditation on your face. Help me to open the fire in my heart to you. I am your servant. Do with me what you will.
Lord guide me to pass on the gift of your Face to those who need it most. By meditating on your face may more and more people be converted to you and share in your life through the Eucharist. Amen.

But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your father who is unseen. And your father who sees what you do in private will reward you. When you pray do not use a lot of meaningless words, as the pagans do, who think their gods will hear them because their prayers are long. Do not be like them. Your father already knows what you need before you ask him.
